PU Syllabus SOE (School Of Engineering)

Here below are the SOE Syllabus of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses in  School Of Engineering (SOE), Pokhara University (PU). The syllabus here below are currently being followed by School Of Engineering (SOE), constituent and affiliated Engineering Colleges and Academic Institutions affiliated to Pokhara University (PU), Nepal.

The engineering courses in School Of Engineering (SOE) are:

  • Bachelor of Computer Engineering- 4 years

Computer engineering is simply a branch of engineering that contains several fields of computer science and electronics engineering. The main objective of the computer engineering course is to help one develop and effective and efficient hardware and software tools and components. Computer engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work, but also how they integrate with other fields. Pokhara University offers a 4 year course Bachelor in Computer Engineering which is very popular among the students.

  • Bachelor in Electrical and Electronics- 4 years

This Course is based on Electronics and Electrical Processes. It is an electrical engineering discipline which utilizes electrical components (such as semiconductor devices, transistors, diodes and integrated circuits) to design electronic circuits, devices, VLSI(Very Large Scale Integration), Networking, TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocols) and Signals based subjects (Digital signal processing(DSP)) and Image Processing.

  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering - 4 years

Civil engineering is generally the application of planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating infrastructures on the other hand protecting the public and environmental health, as well as improving existing infrastructures that have been neglected. Civil engineering includes planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, and facilities, such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, and water and sewage systems.

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering   - 4 years

Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering, physics, mathematics, and materials science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. The mechanical engineering field requires core understanding of areas like mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity.

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering - 4 years

Electrical engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the technology of electricity. Electrical engineers work on a wide range of components, devices and systems.

  • Bachelor in Software Engineering - 4 years
Software engineering is the part of Computer engineering that deals development of the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of computer software, Web applications, mobile application, games, etc.

    • Bachelor of Civil and Rural Engineering - 4 years
